What we can Provide

We offer a complete value proposition from assistance with basic casting design, pattern making, supply of prototypes and machining to provide a finished product ready for use. Surface protection can be added as required and is subcontracted to approved suppliers. All parts are manufactured to the relevant customer standards and are either produced on a DISAMATIC moulding machine or on a separate horizontal green sand moulding line. All castings are produced in various grey- and ductile iron engineering grades according to various international specifications.

Our Services

Machining

We are able to provide fully machined products to the market. Our areas of competency include NC turning, NC drilling and 3-axis CNC machining.

Value added services

We have assisted various customers with casting design. This includes developing a casting from concept through prototyping to final product. The technical team has also assisted customers in converting fabrications into castings reducing the total manufacturing cost and creating additional capacity in their businesses.

Surface protection and coatings

Various surface coatings are available through our approved network of service providers. We regularly supply castings that have been e-coated, Zn-plated and hot dip galvanized.

Cookware Division

Our Best Duty and Chef Supreme ranges include traditional 3-legged cast iron potjies as well as cast iron casseroles and pans. All products are available nationally through selected retail and wholesale distributors. Visit our website for more information at www.bestduty.co.za.

Toolmaking

We offer a complete tool making service linked to pattern making, including 3D CAD modelling off drawings and pattern manufacture on CNC machines, bench pattern making of drawing and reverse engineering of samples.
